The 1970s and 80s were a period of turmoil for the Swiss watch industry. Under threat from the wave of affordable and highly accurate quartz watches from Seiko, as well as drastically changing market tastes spurred on by the counter culture movement, Patek Philippe was forced to get creative. Their response came in the form of a bevy of highly daring watch designs including the Nautilus, various Beta 21s and the present 3729. The highly sculptural and eccentrically shaped stepped case integrates beautifully into the “Tubagaz” bracelet, making for a watch that effortlessly channels 70s cool.

Please note this watch is fitted with a removable 18k yellow gold bracelet and not as stated in the printed catalogue. The watch is accompanied by its original 18k yellow gold buckle and strap.
