The Nautilus has long been one of Patek Philippe's most popular sports models. Invented by Gerald Genta in 1976, the watch was unconventionally big in terms of its diameter and earned the nickname "Jumbo" when it first came out. Initially intended as a luxury watch in steel, the present example is presented in a striking yellow gold case. It is believed that there is no more than 1,150 yellow gold models made from a total of 7,300 reference 3700 watches. While yellow gold Nautilus are already rare, what makes the present piece even more desirable is the factory set diamond bezel and indexes. Furthermore, the present timepiece is powered by the calibre 28-255C, which remains one of the thinnest automatic movements with a central rotor on the market. It features an integrated bracelet with both brushed and polished links, known for its comfort. The watch blends sporty aesthetics with elegance, making it suitable for any occasion.
