The reference 6264 was produced for only a short period of time approximately in the early 1970s. The case is offered in steel or gold, and constructed with a bakelite bezel and pump pushers. It represents a transitional period of the manual wound Daytonas and is considered a grail to collectors. The present example is forged in steel and features a silvered dial. Upon inspection one will be sure to notice an intricate change on the registers, what should be black has turned brown - such is referred by collectors as the "tropical registers", which is an organic change due to time, temperature or exposure to different storage environments. The present dial has cultured to such an attractive colour, these dials are highly sought after by collectors, not to mention its outstanding case profile in excellent proportions. Even the bracelet is stamped the 4th quarter of 1970 and consistent with the watch. A very honest example of the 6264 collection and consigned by the original owner's family, this watch represents a rare piece of treasure ready to be unearthed and the watch has been kept in very original and crisp condition.
