Arguably the most recognizable sports watch in the world, the Nautilus has evolved over the years, branching into numerous variants enhanced with highly coveted complications. Launched in 2014, the Nautilus reference 5990 marks a milestone in the iconic line by combining a dual time zone display with a chronograph for the first time. This integration required a redesigned movement and a slightly enlarged case. However, thanks to the Nautilus's octagonal shape, the chronograph buttons are seamlessly and subtly positioned on the right side of the case, while the dual time pushers reside on the left. With its black graduated ribbed dial and well-balanced layout, the reference 5990 adds another touch of elegance to this sporty collection, ushering in a new era for the Nautilus.
The present reference 5990/1A-001, featuring an gray-black dial, was discontinued in 2022 and succeeded by the blue-dialed reference 5990/1A-011. Complete with all its original accessories, this example has been barely worn and remains in excellent overall condition.
