Jeanne Tachard, a French patron of the arts in the 1920s and a friend of Pierre Legrain, entrusted him with the interior design of her appartment at 41 Rue Emile Menier in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, where she lived until her death in 1963. This set of six napkin rings was made for the apartment's domestic staff between 1920 and 1921.
