Nicolas Alquin, and al., Vincent Dubourg, Paris, 2017, reproduced p. 180-181
Vincent Dubourg creates works that straddle the border between design and sculpture, distinguishing himself by his talent for transforming raw materials into functional artistic creations. In Hommage à Klein, he reinterprets the confident, a chair created under the French Second Empire, and explores the relationship between natural and manufactured materials, color and form. The colored imprints on the seats and backrests echo Yves Klein's Anthropometries of the 1960s. The choice of pink and blue also refers to the artist's two emblematic colors.
