The Tank Basculante is one of the most iconic designs from Cartier. It was originally created in 1932 for polo players.
The model has seen very little evolution over its 90 years lifetime. It was mostly produced in precious metal with a manual winding movement or in stainless steel with a quartz movement.
The present Tank Basculante was released to celebrate the Millenium, and features a very distinctive engraving "1999/2000/2001" on the reversible back.
The rose like dial pattern inherits core aesthetics from the CPCP lineage.
it was made as a limited series of only 365 pieces, making this rare timepiece particularly desirable.
