Royal Standard de Liège, commonly referred to as Standard Liège, is a Belgian professional football club based in the city of Liège. They are one of the most successful clubs in Belgium, having won the Belgian league on ten occasions.
The club won its last Belgian league title in 2009 and commissioned Rolex to manufactured 100 pieces with the club logo on the dial and a numbered (…/100) engraving on the case back. The watches were to commemorate the title and not made for a commercial purpose (so not available for sale until now).
Launched in 1953, the Turn-O-Graph is the first serially produced Rolex with a rotating bezel. The line was discontinued in 2011. This watch is one of a very limited series of 100 watches, of which 54 were given to players and staff members. This particular piece was purchased directly from the football club by the previous owner.
It comes in an as new condition with its full set of accessories.
