the rectangular top with pierced three-quarter gallery and later pale green leather writing surface with gilt tooled border, above two mahogany-lined drawers with ebonised moulded borders, the upper drawer fitted with a removable sliding inkwell drawer with pen tray and the lower drawer previously fitted with compartments, above a slide with pleated yellow silk work basket; the back fitted with false drawer fronts; on reeded standard supports joined by a turned stretcher and brass paw feet with castors
