the shaped top and moulded cornice with later flaming brass finials above an oval oculus and two arched doors with later bevelled mirror plates enclosing an interior with shelves above pigeonholes and small drawers, above a slant front opening to a later tan leather writing surface and arrangement of central cupboard flanked by half column-fronted secret compartments, pigeonholes and drawers and a well with sliding cover; above two short and two long drawers on later bracket feet; handles and locks replaced
