the upper section with dentillated cornice and fluted frieze above two astragal-glazed doors and ivory silk-lined interior with two sets of three adjustable shelves; the serpentine lower section with central secretaire drawer, the interior with later gilt tool-bordered green leather writing surface and arrangement of fifteen small drawers and five pigeonholes; flanked either side by a tier of two drawers; above two cupboard doors inlaid with classical vases opening to three mahogany-faced oak slides lined with blue paper; on a moulded plinth
