49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot. This was the first year that Palmer was 100% biodynamic-farmed. On the nose, so much fruit it is like a bunch of flowers. A big, inky mouthful on the palate with very brambly flavours. The fruit has such beautiful clarity, I think deriving from the biodynamic element, with such a signature of berries. The stunning cellar of the late John Apthorp CBE, a key figure behind the success of Majestic Wine, one of Britain’s leading high street wine merchants. His passion for wine was reflected in his personal collection, which he meticulously assembled over the years, and kept in ideal conditions in a purpose-built home cellar. Focused primarily on Bordeaux and Burgundy, with notable additions of some of the most revered names from Rhône, Champagne, Italy, Spain and the United States, the collection spans a period of 10 decades from the 1920s to the mid-2010s.

-         to an address in London: £35 for the first 10 cases, plus £10 for any additional case, plus VAT and Sotheby’s Transit Care cover;

-         to a UK address outside of London (excluding Ireland and Scotland): £45 for the first 10 cases, plus £10 for any additional case, plus VAT and Sotheby’s Transit Care cover.

Sotheby’s cannot arrange or take responsibility for shipments to non-UK buyers, but will be pleased to introduce them to a forwarding agent.
