A great year with a very low yield due to hail. A really coffee-ish nose and a taste of roasting coffee beans. Black fruit density. So sweet at the end. A chef d'oeuvre. In 2009, it almost has a whiff of Burgundy on the nose. This wine has always tasted terrific. Briary, with perfect balance. So smooth, with a great kick at the end, retaining that delectable sweetness.
