In 2023, an absolutely outstanding, rich, black liquorice, aromatic nose of extraordinary complexity. This wine has always been at the forefront in this vintage, with its Merlot content at the time a great match with the year. Total opulence all through, with luscious plums and blueberries. This is a real 'grand vin'. And the freshness on the palate is remarkable. The unique feature of this wine is its depth and dimension, in a vintage that was delicious but not usually profound. This is! Serena Sutcliffe, MW
