An extremely hot, atypical year, where the trick was to keep the acidity. Vega is well placed here, as acidity is always present, and they picked early and rapidly. Damsons and prunes on the nose. Rich, sunny, liqueur elements, filling the mouth with glossy flavour. Then the black liquorice taste kicks in, with that signature freshness at the end. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
