55% Cabernet Franc, 45% Merlot. A really lovely scent of violets immediately assails you, followed by a terrific taste of dark chocolate - very Bouchet, or Cabernet Franc! The Guinaudeaus did not chaptalise, whereas most people this year did a small amount of 'rounding up'. Class and glycerol, flesh and sweetness. This is my top wine of the vintage for its sheer beauty and breed.
