66% Pinot Noir, 34% Chardonnay. This is the 25th R.D. - 1952 was the first. In 2018, very pure and keen on the nose, with a touch of white peaches. On the palate, a vanilla pod centre to it, soft and yet with a dry, mineral finish and a hint of black truffles. Go for it from now, but it will easily stay the course for another 20-25 years - the R.D. 2004 is for ever (but unfortunately, I am not)... Serena Sutcliffe, MW
