Château Talbot 2005
St. Julien, 4ème Cru Classé
In 2018, a very classic, top Médocain nose, still reined in, but deeply blackcurrant and concentrated. A very intense, gloriously healthy cassis taste. This marries with mocha and glycerol, giving lush smoothness and a sumptuous finish. There are notes of cinnamon and blueberries, right in the mould of Talbot. Naturally, this needs time for its full potential to develop, as with all top 2005s. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
