Description

Dom Pérignon 2008

Packed in two 6-bottle oc

50% Pinot Noir, 50% Chardonnay. Dosage 5 g/l, lees ageing 9 years. This was the longest harvest for DP, an amazing 4 weeks, and they used a higher quantity of warmer villages in the blend, such as Aÿ and Hautvillers. In 2022, a deep, appley nose, crisp and emphatic, spring-like and vibrant. Real, flavourful weight on the palate, with all the DP breed, plus profundity and volume. Rolls round the mouth, with brioche, marzipan and vanilla all vying for attention. The complexity and depth are remarkable - one of the greatest. I even poured it into a ballon glass for its fullest expression. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
