Description

Château Margaux 1983

Margaux, 1er Cru Classé

u. 2bn, 1vts, 2ts, 1t/hs, slightly wrinkled labels, slightly corroded capsules, 1 slightly raised cork

In 2025, a wonderful colour, seemingly ever-deepening. A real blackcurrant nose, intense, pure and healthy. One is hit by the exuberant flavour on the palate, a wine of immense stature, luscious blueberry opulence and sheer class. This is glossy, shiny and absolutely show-stopping. The first vintage of the late, great Paul Pontallier and what a legacy this is. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
