Description

Château Haut Brion 2002

Pessac-Léognan (Graves), 1er Cru Classé

Levels into the neck, slightly bin-soiled labels

51% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc. 70% new oak.  In 2013, woodsmoke in the fireplace on the nose, plus fresh violets.  Orange zests.  Great fresh redcurrants on the palate. The breed of the cru is in the texture.  This would be wonderful with smoked Sonoma lamb.  Serena Sutcliffe, MW
