Description

Corton Charlemagne 2019

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

Côte de Beaune, Grand Cru

Case banded prior to inspection

This is the first vintage of the Domaine's Corton Charlemagne, 2.9 hectares leased in 2018 from Domaine Bonneau du Martray and lying in the two best locations, Le

Charlemagne and En Charlemagne. Yield 26hl/ha. In 2022, a stunning nose of greengages, with great intensity and concentration. What a difference a change can make! Spectacular vanillin, fruit and sheer class in the glass. Long, rich and voluptuous, with perfect harmony. I do not think I have ever tasted a better Corton Charlemagne - and I have tasted a few! Serena Sutcliffe, MW
