Merlot 81%, Cabernet Franc 19%. 70% new barrels. 75% of production. Marielle Cazaux's first vintage as winemaker. A great spice bazaar nose, positively exotic. The velvety tannins make it approachable. Vanillin sweetness, with a ripe, chocolate-coated cherries finish, dusted with cocoa. In 2017, a really spicy, classy nose. On the palate, a touch of mint and finesse of texture. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
