This was always bound to be a winner, given the quality of Pomerol in this vintage which is increasingly evident with each tasting. Everything is in this - it is a very big wine. Exotic and yet pure, truffley and yet classic, this is beautifully delineated Petrus and an incredible, and worthy, comparison with the 2000. All the wines herein have impeccable provenance, having been purchased directly on release from an esteemed London merchant, and kept in professional storage in the UK and Hong Kong until this auction.
