First introduced in the late 1980s, the Rolex Daytona Reference 16518 marked a pivotal evolution in the lineage of the iconic chronograph. Cased in yellow gold and traditionally fitted with a leather strap, the 16518 was powered by the calibre 4030 automatic movement, based on the famed Zenith El Primero, making it one of the celebrated "Zenith Daytonas" produced between 1988 and 2000.
