Tudor's Black Bay collection stands as the brand's most popular and sought-after range, renowned for its blend of vintage charm and modern craftsmanship. Introduced in 2012, this collection draws inspiration from the iconic Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner ref. 7922, which made its debut back in 1954. As a result, the current iteration of the Black Bay appeals to individuals who appreciate vintage aesthetics but also value a touch of contemporary style.
In 2022, Tudor joined forces with the elite wing Royalty and Specialist Protection Unit of the British police to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee. Each watch produced for this collaboration proudly displays the RaSP logo—a Tudor rose adorned with a crown—at the six o'clock position, along with a special engraving on the case back, and the officers personal warrant number which is purposely not shown here.
The present lot is the 160th edition of only 300 ever made, and comes directly from an active member of this renowned unit, adding an extra layer of significance and authenticity.
