Nestled in the Jura Mountains near the French border lies the quaint hamlet of L’Auberson, the birthplace of De Bethune. The brand emerged in 2002 through the collaboration of David Zanetta, an Italian art and vintage watch collector, and Denis Flageollet, a fourth-generation French watchmaker. With an annual production output of only around 350 watches, De Bethune is renowned for its bold, futuristic aesthetics and continuous exploration of advanced materials for their use in horology.

The DB22, introduced in 2007, showcases the best of independent watchmaking and marked a significant evolution in the brand and blends avant-garde design with technical mastery. As part of the "Heritage 2007" collection, the DB22 was conceived to offer a more sporty aesthetic while remaining faithful to the signature codes of the brand. The distinctive 48 mm hexagonal case with integrated lugs of the DB22 was offered in 18k white gold, pink gold, and titanium. The dial, made of microlight-finished titanium, showcases a power reserve indicator at 12 o'clock, with blued titanium and hand-polished steel hands, enhancing legibility and elegance.

At the heart of the DB22 lies the caliber DB2024, a mechanical self-winding movement comprising 289 parts and notable De Bethune innovations including a self-regulating twin barrel, a titanium/platinum balance wheel, a flat terminal curve balance spring, and a triple parachute shock-absorbing system.

We are pleased to offer this exclusive timepiece, numbered 5 out of only 50 pieces, complete with its box and papers.
