De Bethune is an independent watchmaker known for innovative complications and avant-garde designs. De Bethune's dedication to pushing the boundaries of horological innovation has resulted in timepieces that are both technically impressive and aesthetically striking.

To celebrate the iconic DB28's 10th anniversary, De Bethune introduced a set of three exceptional wristwatches in 2020. The three timepieces, true to the DNA of the DB28, are interpretations of the same theme: the Starry Sky Reference DB28XPTIS3V2, the Tourbillon Reference DB28XPTTIS1, and the present example the XP Reference DB28XPTIS1.

The dial of the present example features a titanium hours ring and spherical hour-markers and circular minutes ring. The titanium barrel bridge has triangular central bridge guards with straight-grained chamfered contours  The timepiece also features the titanium dial base with “microlight” decoration centred on the balance, a De Bethune innovation from 2007. The design is punctuated by blued titanium hands.

At its heart beats the mechanically hand-wound calibre DB2115V6 featuring a self-regulating twin barrel and triple pare-chute shock-absorbing system, both De Bethune innovations.

The present example also features ‘floating lugs’ emblematic of the De Bethune DNA. In innovative design where the lugs pivot to adapt to the wearer’s wrist, it ensures exceptional comfort and a snug fit. This ergonomic design enhances wearability and adds a modern, dynamic look, perfectly balancing advanced engineering with contemporary style.

We are delighted to present the timepiece in exceptional condition and accompanied by its original De Bethune presentation box with removable travel case.
