The Patek Philippe Ref. 2562 is a very elegant representation of the brand’s mid-century design philosophy. Its case construction is particularly intricate, featuring stepped-down sides that create a sharp-edged profile before seamlessly integrating with the case back. The lugs, raised and polished to stand out from the case sides, evoke a traditional aesthetic. Notably, the 19mm lug width is wider than typical for a 1950s Patek Philippe, giving the watch a larger presence on the wrist than its dimensions might suggest.

In person, this example is truly captivating, with a dial featuring the classic yellow gold baton hour markers, a signature Patek design component and complemented by the understated "PATEK PHILIPPE GENEVE" text in raised enamel.
