Produced from 2003 to 2010, the reference 16610LV was introduced to commemorate the Submariner’s 50th anniversary. Affectionately nicknamed the “Kermit,” this model is celebrated for its resemblance to the beloved Muppet character. Distinguished by its striking green bezel insert, it also marked the first appearance of a glossy maxi dial on a Submariner, featuring enlarged hour indices and slightly broader hands compared to the standard black-dial ref. 16610. In 2010, the “Kermit” was succeeded by the ref. 116610LV, known as the “Hulk,” yet it remains one of the most coveted Submariner models among collectors.
