The Rolex 16523 is referred to as the Zenith Daytona by collectors, and the name comes from the Zenith movement utilized in the watch. The Zenith caliber 4030 was the last outsourced movement supplied to Rolex for their chronograph range. It also holds the title of being the first automatic movement cased in the Daytona model.
As a horology brand known for the vertical integration of their supply chains and in-house production, Daytonas housing Zenith movements represent a slice of both Rolex and horological history when there were different suppliers who specialized in each component of a timepiece. Extremely sought after by Rolex collectors, we are pleased to present this Zenith Daytona in excellent condition, complete with its original box and papers.
