The Breitling calibre 69 is a notably rare mecaquartz movement employed in the Chronoracer Rattrapante (ref. A69048), a model produced in the early 2000s. Developed from the Frédéric Piguet calibre 1271, it combines quartz power with mechanical architecture: while the movement is battery-driven, the rattrapante mechanism is fully mechanical. The calibre also features a mechanical vertical-clutch, column-wheel system for the chronograph, placing it among the more technically distinctive hybrid movements of its era.
