In 1975, a professional diver from Hiroshima challenged Seiko to create a watch capable of withstanding depths greater than 300 meters. The result was the world’s first titanium-cased diver’s watch, a milestone in underwater timekeeping.
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of this achievement, Seiko reissued the model with updated materials and technology. Produced in a limited edition of 1,978 pieces, the present example is numbered 42.
