The reference 3330 was designed by the renowned watchmaker Daniel Roth and first introduced in the 1980s. Affectionately known as the “Chinoise,” this model is distinguished by its unconventional dial layout: the moon phases at 12 o’clock, the date at 2 o’clock, and the day at 10 o’clock, with the time display positioned slightly off-center.
The design draws inspiration from one of Abraham-Louis Breguet’s early pocket watches, No. 4579, which also featured an off-center dial and was conceived as a montre à tact, a watch that allowed the wearer to tell the time by touch rather than sight.
Presented in very good overall condition, this example represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a timepiece that embodies Breguet’s enduring dedication to traditional watchmaking artistry and innovation.
