Initially created in 1931 for polo players who wished to protect their timepieces on the field, the Reverso’s signature swiveling case has become a signature for the brand.
To commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Reverso, Jaeger LeCoultre’s most iconic design, the brand released this limited edition of 500 pieces. Powered by the calibre 824, this watch is the first Reverso reference with complications. Known as the "Soixantième," the beautiful model features a guilloche dial with the 45-hour power-reserve indication at the top left of the dial. The reverse side displays the movement – a testament to mechanical watchmaking right after the quartz crisis.
The present example is offered in very good condition, presenting an opportunity to acquire a piece of horology that exemplifies the craftsmanship for which Jaeger-LeCoultre is renowned.
