The Sea-Dweller is a staple in the long line of Rolex models and the Reference 116660 is no exception. The watch was made to commemorate James Cameron’s Deepsea Challenger Expedition, where he dove into the depths of the ocean. The reference 116660, originally released in 2014, was a general release based off of a similar one off watch Cameron wore during the exhibition. Housing a 3235 automatic caliber movement in a 44 mm in diameter case, and measuring almost 18 mm in thickness, the Deepsea is certainly not a subtle watch on the wrist. While the watch may not be considered under the cuff, it is designed to go under the sea and withstand intense pressure while functioning at extreme depths. With an official depth rating of 3,900 meter, the watch was certainly meant to endure intense pressures of the deep. The case also features a Ringlock System to account for this.
This watch comes with all of its original stickers still intact, and a full set of accompaniments. It is the ideal tool watch for someone looking for something in practically new condition.
