Since its debut in 1967, the Rolex Sea-Dweller—designed to withstand the demanding conditions of deep-sea exploration—has remained the brand’s most robust diving watch. Among its many notable iterations, the Sea-Dweller 4000, introduced in 2014, holds a special place. Since its discontinuation, it has since become a highly sought-after collector’s piece.
The present Sea-Dweller 4000 features a Cerachrom ceramic bezel with full minute graduations, paired with a black “Maxi Dial” that displays the date at three o’clock. The enlarged lume-filled hands and hour markers, which emit a striking blue glow in the dark, enhance both legibility and the model’s modern aesthetic—an homage to its maritime heritage. Powered by an automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve, the watch is housed in a 40mm stainless steel case that embodies Rolex’s signature balance of strength and precision.
This lot comes in like new condition with its factory stickers and complete accompaniments.
