The Rolex Daytona reference 116518LN, along with its white and pink gold counterparts, was unveiled in March 2017 at the Baselworld fair. The 116518LN is fitted with the innovative Oysterflex bracelet—first introduced on the Yacht-Master in 2015—and features a black Cerachrom bezel, similar to the one debuted on the reference 116500LN in 2016. The Cerachrom bezel itself first appeared in chestnut brown on the platinum Daytona (ref. 116506), launched in 2013 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Rolex’s legendary chronograph.
While earlier gold Daytonas fitted with non-gold bracelets leaned toward a more classic aesthetic, the Oysterflex lends the watch a distinctly sportier and more contemporary character. Crafted from high-performance elastomer with a flexible titanium-nickel alloy core, the bracelet combines exceptional comfort, strength, and durability. It also ensures the watch remains perfectly suited for all occasions—including swimming—without the limitations of a traditional leather strap.
The yellow gold version, featuring a champagne-colored main dial and black sub-dials, pairs beautifully with the black bezel and Oysterflex bracelet, creating a striking and harmonious contrast.
This particular example is offered in like new condition with its full stickers and accompaniments.
