Description

Movement: spring detent escapement, bi-metallic balance, polished helical hairspring mounted on a platform visible through the glazed panel at the top of the case


Dial: silvered-matte dial, Roman numeral, subsidiary dials for constant seconds, and up-and-down indication for 8-days, signed Russel's Ltd., Liverpool, Makers to the Admiralty, slide between the 12 and 1 o’clock positions


Case: Thuya burl wood case, gilt inlaid banding, inset level at top, glazed aperture and side panel


Diameter of Dial: 15.24 cm


Accessories: accompanied by photocopy of the Charles Frodsham & Co. invoice referencing the purchase of five timepieces, including the present Thomas Russell chronometer; photocopy of letter of correspondence dated May 11th, 1969
