Of tonneau design, decorated with an engine-turned pattern, the sides and push piece accented by brilliant-cut diamonds, opening to reveal a mirror, a powder compartment, a lorgnette, a pencil holder, a lipstick holder featuring a round watch dial and a compartment containing three black pouches.

The workshop Pierre Lefebvre specialised in the manufacture of pens and mechanical pencils. They worked for Cartier, being their almost-exclusive supplier of pens and mechanical pencils in the 1930s.
