款識：萬曆戊子(1588)秋七月望，吳苑孫枝畫。鈐印：「叔達父」、「華林居士」

著錄：《中國古代書畫圖目》，第一冊，編號京4-12，孫枝《清溪放棹圖》。

作者略傳：

孫枝，字叔達、微之，號華林、華林居士，江蘇蘇州人。工書善畫，長於山水，師法文徵明，明姜紹書《無聲詩史》謂其「石樹蔥秀，毫素間有灑然出塵之致，亦吳中佳手也」。所作山水意境幽深，風格秀整。花卉、人物亦佳。為吳門派畫家之一。
