This ensemble reflects Coco Chanel's continued interest in experimenting with new and novel materials. Elizabeth Taylor is photographed wearing an evening ensemble of the same materials and from the same collection, meeting Princess Margaret in London, 1967. This image can be seen in 'Gabrielle Chanel' by the Victoria & Albert Museum, p.250-253.
