the lower section with arched panels enamelled with flowerheads within foliate scrolls, the upper section enamelled with stylised hearts in opaque white and blue enamel floral motifs within narrow panels, the domed lid similarly decorated and surmounted by a silver finial in the form of a seated peasant woman in traditional dress, the curved handle and spout partially enamelled with blue scale pattern and pellet borders, mother-of-pearl insulators, the base engraved with initials 'H De W,' struck to lid and base with maker's mark, retailer's mark, 88 standard
