of campana form, the body finely painted with a reproduction of The Dentist after Gerard Dou, signed Kholshevnikov and dated 1863, within a gilded cartouche encircled by gilded acanthus leaves and stylised buds, the reverse painted with a polychrome still life scene, flanked by gilded vines of ivy stretching across the painting on the left side, on a matte light-blue ground, below the gilded rim, the foot also in blue with gilded fluting, on a gilt square base, the foot with Imperial cypher of Nicholas I in underglaze blue
