the lid applied with a finely enamelled badge of the Pavlovsk Regiment, with the Moscow armorial reserved on a translucent red enamel ground, above the Maltese cross and champlevé enamelled Imperial double-headed eagle, above and below the dedication: From the Officers of the Pavlovsk Regiment to a comrade in Cyrillic, on a reeded rose-gold ground, the interior engraved with the names of eighty-one officers from the Pavlovsk Regiment, the reverse with a stylised Cyrillic P in opaque white enamel with gilded tips, struck to interior with Fabergé in Cyrillic, workmaster's initials, 56 standard, in a modern fitted red leather case
