Description

rectangular, the surface enamelled in crimson over sunburst engine-turning, within a silver-gilt frame in Rococo taste with applied flowers set with rose-cut diamonds, the white enamel dial with black Arabic chapters and gilt openwork hands, the aperture framed in seed pearls, gilt-brass reverse, with original holly wood case inscribed (in Swedish) by Alice Nobel: 16/10 1915 gift from Grandmother Edla Nobel Stepmother to my father Carl Nobel, struck to the side and reverse with Fabergé in Cyrillic, work master's initials, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 19955, later scratched inscription: Rep [aired] 2/11 59 HJ
