Description
rectangular, the lid applied with a diamond-set crowned cypher of Nicholas II on an engine-turned ground, framed by rose-cut diamonds, further surrounded by horizontal bands of rose-cut diamonds, the sides and base in plain gold, with crescent-shaped thumb-piece, rose-gold interior, struck to the inside lid and reverse with Fabergé in Cyrillic, maker’s mark, the rim with further indistinct marks, scratched inventory number possibly 912
length 9.3 cm; 3 5/8 in.
Acquired by the father of the present owner circa 1970
