MORE ABOUT THIS LOT:

Introduction by Yiannis Karakasis MW, "Founded by Yiannis Boutaris in the mid-1990s, Kir-Yianni Estate has been instrumental in redefining Naoussa and the potential of Xinomavro. Ramnista is sourced from the estate’s vineyards in Giannakochori, where a patchwork of exposures and soils allows for nuanced expressions of the variety.

The 2013 vintage saw a cooler spring and an extended ripening season, producing a wine of precision and balance. Notes of red cherry, sundried tomato, and Mediterranean herbs are layered with spice and earthy undertones. The tannins are firm yet refined, and the natural acidity lends freshness and length. Presented in a rare 3L format, this Ramnista highlights both the individuality of Naoussa’s vineyards and the vision of Kir-Yianni in elevating Xinomavro to international attention."

From the Kir-Yianni Estate in Naoussa, northern Greece, this Ramnista 2013 exemplifies the pedigree of the indigenous Xinomavro grape. Known for its structure, complexity, and longevity, Xinomavro is often compared to the finest wines of Piedmont.

The 2013 vintage displays layers of sun-dried tomato, red berries and olive tapenade framed by firm yet polished tannins and vibrant acidity, continuing to evolve with grace and depth.

Bottled in the Double Magnum format, this is a collector’s piece of exceptional scarcity and a unique opportunity for connoisseurs to secure a distinguished expression of Greece’s vinous heritage.
