The individually engraved magnums are presented in a custom-made wooden box, each set bearing a matching number engraved both on the bottles and on the exterior of the box.
The wine included in this lot is lying at Colgin Cellars, Napa Valley, USA, to be shipped by agreement between Colgin Cellars and the winning bidder. Offered Duty Paid, US Sales Tax applies.
Sotheby's will provide the buyer with the contact details of the donor to arrange delivery / organisation of the experience.
EXPERIENCE:
This lot includes a private evening visit to Colgin Cellars’ IX Estate followed by a dinner, for 6 guests. Hosted by Colgin Cellars’ Chief Operating Officer, Neil Bernardi MW.
This experience to take place Monday-Friday before 31st December 2026, at a date to be mutually agreed at least 8 weeks in advance.
All guests must be 21 years of age or older.
This lot is non-transferable.
Accommodation, flights and transport to and from Colgin Cellars are not included.

Enjoy the rare opportunity to visit Colgin Cellars’ IX Estate vineyard for a private evening. You are invited to a behind-the-scenes look at Colgin Cellars’ winery and IX Estate vineyard, often described as a “viticultural nirvana,” set high on a hillside with sweeping views overlooking Lake Hennessey and the valley beyond. Led by Colgin Cellars’ Chief Operating Officer and Master of Wine Neil Bernardi, the winning bidder and five guests will receive an extensive tour of this private estate followed by an intimate dinner featuring Colgin Cellars’ library wines.
To commemorate the evening, the winning bidder will also receive a custom-made wooden box featuring a vertical of etched magnums of Colgin Cellars "IX Estate" from the following vintages: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. This collection showcases a remarkable sequence of vintages that reveal the depth and nuance of this singular site. Each bottle is individually engraved, and the outer box bears a numbered engraving to honor this rare set for the collector.
This lot is subject to 8.25% US Sales Tax, payable on the Hammer Price and on the Buyer and Overhead Premiums. The buyer is solely responsible for determining the legality and the tax/duty consequences of having the goods delivered to the desired destination.
