Description

The Glendronach Arias in Time

  • A one-of-a-kind collection from The Glendronach, drawn from four different and exceptional Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, chosen by esteemed Master Blender, Rachel Barrie.

  • The collection features the two oldest bottles ever released by The Glendronach Distillery.

  • Tasting Notes by Master Blender, Rachel Barrie:

1968 Vintage 56 Year Old

Drawn from a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, bottled at cask strength 46.9% abv.

Alludes to a decadent experience of velvet and satin. The pinnacle of the crescendo in the collection, leading to an exquisitely rich finale swathed in the finest chocolate and dark fruit.

1972 Vintage 52 Year Old

Drawn from an Oloroso sherry cask, bottled at cask strength 50.2% abv.

Gourmet baked autumn-fruit indulgence, elevating into a lingering finish of warming ginger and layered mulled apple.

1989 Vintage 35 Year Old

Drawn from a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, bottled at cask strength 52.1% abv.

An aromatic delight, with rich layers of walnut and winter truffle, and liquorice complexity building to forest fruit.

1993 Vintage 31 Year Old

Drawn from an Oloroso sherry cask, bottled at cask strength 55.4% abv.

Luscious sultanas and dark chocolate orange, moving into smooth maraschino cherry with cream.

  • Presented upon a bespoke bronze sculptural artwork by Osanna Visconti – a stage in organic form, modelled by hand using the lost-wax casting technique.

4 bottles 70cl (presentation case)
